A brief history of Owl
After red oxiding the interior, tanalised battens were fixed above and below the gunwales to hold the framing.
The floor was made from recycled inch and a quarter inch recycled pine floor boards.
(These came from the Tate Gallery!)
Below the gunwales is canadian pine and the walls above the gunwales are recycled Australian eucalyptus
The rockwool insulation slabs are covered with a plastic sheet which acts as a vapour barrier.
The lining out was completed and the Refleks diesel stove, sink, cooker and radiator were added.
